In 1987 I helped set up the Marlow Homeopathic Clinic which has grown and is now Marlow Homeopathy. During my thirty plus years of experience as a practising homeopath I have run two busy practices, one here at Marlow and the other at the Natural Therapy Clinic in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
I have written and presented many courses including a homeopathic first aid course, an assertiveness course, and most recently a relationships course in collaboration with Kay Willis. I have lectured at several homeopathic colleges and run workshops and tutorials for student homeopaths. Currently, as well as seeing patients, I supervise and work with homeopathy students.
Recently I attended two philosophical counselling courses, gaining a recognition in this field. I intend to continue these studies as they usefully augment my homeopathic work.
Before studying as a homeopath I worked as a librarian, running several professional libraries as well as a large medical library at Greenwich District Hospital in London.
I am married with three grown up children.
Biographical Info
I qualified as a homeopathic practitioner in June 1996 and have been in fulltime practice since then, both at Marlow Homeopathy and a variety of other clinics. I currently practice here in Marlow and in Streatham, south London. I have developed a particular interest in the treatment of emotional issues such as depression and substance abuse as well as health issues related to diet, often first seen as allergies, skin conditions and behavioural problems.
My other main role is as a lecturer and speaker. I am Vice-Principal of the College of Practical Homeopathy where I am one of the core lecture team on the full-time and part-time courses as well as lecturing abroad, most recently in Bulgaria. I also lecture to homeopathy groups on a variety of subjects. I have been involved in the development and delivery of Management and Personal Development courses, as well as courses run here at Marlow Homeopathy. I run tutorial groups for homeopathy students and provide supervision for both homeopathy students and qualified homeopaths.
I also work with 2 charities, the Maun Homeopathy Project in Botswana and the Swaziland Homeopathy Project, whose major role is to support HIV+ and AIDS patients in southern Africa. As well as working as a volunteer homeopath at these projects, I am now involved in training local homeopathy students with the aim of these projects becoming self sufficient in the future.
I thoroughly enjoy the contrasting demands of my homeopathy practice, my teaching tutorial and supervision work as well as my voluntary work in Africa. Before becoming a homeopath, I enjoyed a career as an Engineer Officer in the RAF.

Trained in Homeopathy and Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST), Jo often uses both disciplines to achieve faster and more effective healing results. This is achieved through the gentle use of Homeopathic remedies, which help to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanism and Cranial Sacral Therapy, which corrects and releases these disturbances on a more physical level.
Having built up an extremely successful practice since 2006, predominantly through word of mouth and referrals, Jo specialises in trauma, symptoms of anxiety and depression in both adults and teenagers. She is also an experienced and adept practitioner in chronic and acute conditions.
Despite seeing the many benefits from the combined use of Homeopathy and Cranial Sacral Therapy, Jo also welcomes the sole use of one discipline, if this is what the patient needs or requires.
To book an appointment with Jo, please contact Marlow Homeopathy on 01628 476200.

Patient health is of utmost importance to me in my work at Marlow Homeopathy; I love my work and am committed to providing patients with the support and care they need during their treatment.
I graduated from the London College of Practical Homeopathy with a valuable understanding of how to use homeopathy practically, for any illness.
When I started practice I was amazed by the amount of chronic illness I saw and how many people led lives that were a quiet struggle, because they lived with discomfort – physical or emotional. So I sought out the most effective solutions for curing illness and bringing the body back to healthy vitality, and I now work with a combination of proven therapies that give remarkable results and tackle all health issues :-
NUTRITION AND DIET – to restore gut health and a healthy immune system
DETOXIFICATION – to relieve the body of an excessive toxic load (GAPS therapy)
HOMEOPATHY – to provide a gentle and profound medicine to aid healing
